Academics

ECS offers classes for K2-12th grades and is fully accredited through the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. As a college-preparatory school, great emphasis is placed on academics. Seniors are given the opportunity for dual enrollment through Florence-Darlington Tech. ECS offers upper level math, science and English classes taught by instructors with Masters and/or PhD degrees. Two spacious computer labs help students learn how to safely use the Internet and stay on the cutting edge of technology. ECS alumni have been accepted into West Point, medical schools, law schools and other institutions of higher learning. They are serving as lawyers, cardiologists, dentists, college professors, military officers and many other professional vocations.

Sports and Fine Arts

Although great emphasis is placed on academics, extracurricular opportunities abound. ECS offers a competitive sports program for both young men and women. A beautiful gymnasium, 3 soccer fields, a baseball field and separate softball field all help to accommodate a growing program. The current sports offered include soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. Golf, tennis, cross country and swimming are being considered for the near future. A Fine Arts program is also offered, which includes drama and theater, competition choirs, vocal training and instrumental lessons.

Curriculum

ECS uses the nationally acclaimed A BEKA curriculum and provides instruction in a traditional classroom setting. Tuition is competitively priced and the ECS athletic and academic booster clubs help underwrite many costs, thus easing the financial strain on families. ECS is a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church, but is designed to be a Christian school for the community. Area pastors speak in our weekly chapel services and are encouraged to be involved in various other aspects. As you can see, ECS is Christian school for Darlington County, which is committed to providing academic excellence with a Christian world view.
